under the WestwaySaturday 1st July 10am-12pm
Carolina Rodrigues & Rachael Nee
Unfortunately we have had to postpone the Flourish workshop in sensitivity to the devastating Grenfell tower fire.
We will be replacing it with a free Family art & craft workshop this Saturday, 17th at Maxilla Space open door from 10 am.
With Rachael Nee and Ana Carolina Rodrigues.
ACAVA artists Carolina Rodrigues and Rachael Nee will be delivering our second theme Art and Climate Change for the Flourish: Green Art Maxilla project.
Families will be working together to design and build a large scale structure as a response to the potential effects of climate change. The work will be exhibited at the project celebration at Maxilla on 15th July.
We will be stretching our imaginations and muscles to make our fantastical ideas come to life.
Carolina and Rachael will also be delivering the workshop on 1st July followed by SEASONS, an art ‘happening’ at Maxilla, in the evening.
This is a free environmental art workshop for families living in North Kensington.
Children must be 5 years and over, and accompanied by an adult.
Spaces limited. Book your place here
Each workshop takes place at:
Maxilla Walk Studios, 4 Maxilla Walk, London, W10 6NQ (the former Children’s Centre under the Westway), and will run from 10am-12pm.

Maxilla Studios Reading Group (MSRG)
The Maxilla Studios Reading Group offers people of all backgrounds to meet and discuss some of the most pertinent issues regarding contemporary production and labour. Operating via a series of selected texts, the reading group seeks to offer an engaging range of material which confronts many of the challenges and problems that face us today. How does production (whether artistic or otherwise) operate within these contexts?
